Q1: There seems to be a discrepancy between the name of Celestron Noble 10x42 (sku 71207)and the Product Attributes magnification given as 8x and power x obj. dia. 8x42. Please clarify. Thank you.

A: Thanks for pointing that out, Linda. The specifications given were indeed for the Noble 8x42 binoculars, not the 10-42s. We've made the corrections, and the right specifications are now posted with the 10x42s. You have sharp eyes, and we appreciate your spotting and pointing our our error.

A thing of beauty for viewing the beauties of nature! The magnificent Noble Series from Celestron is one of today's best values in premium-quality, roof-prism binoculars. When you hold a Noble and view through its lenses, you'll be immediately impressed by its solid compact design, its smooth, precision focus adjustments, and the clarity and fidelity of its fully multi-coated and phase-coated optics. In short, the Noble takes the viewing experience to a breathtaking, new level of enjoyment. The 10x42 is rubber-covered and fully waterproof. It features close focus of 8 feet.

"Celestron is a name synonymous with amateur astronomy and has long been a major force in that market. Based on the performance of the Nobles they sent for testing, they are very serious about the birding market. Both models were an absolute joy to pick up and use - I had to fight with my testers to return them. Each model easily made our Favorites List and Best Buy List."
